AIOZ Network Tokenomics 2.0

AIOZ Tokenomics 2.0 is the token model AIOZ Network announced in December 2023. It cuts AIOZ inflation by 1% every December 25 until it reaches 5%. As of November 2026 the chain mints at 6% a year, split equally between stakers and the treasury.
Updated Nov 4, 2026: added the current inflation rate read from the chain, the governance proposals behind each cut, on-chain supply and burn records, and the docs' current burn wording.
The original December 2023 announcement follows the status sections below. The same text is on the AIOZ tokenomics page in the docs. For the 2020 supply and allocation plan, see AIOZ Token Allocation and Vesting. The 2021 change to presale vesting is in the AIOZ token vesting schedule update.
What is AIOZ inflation now?
AIOZ inflation is 6% a year as of November 4, 2026. You can read it from the chain's mint module, as we did, through the public Cosmos RPC listed on the AIOZ Network Information docs page. At block 25,947,532, the /aioz.mint.v1.Query/AnnualInflation query returned 0.060000000004, which is 6.0%.
Each cut so far has been a governance proposal, submitted and passed on December 25 of that year, and you can open each one on the AIOZ block explorer:
- 9% from March 1, 2023, the rate given in the announcement below. Minting started that day at block 6,311,520, the start height in the mint parameters.
- 8% from December 25, 2023, set by proposal #25, which passed at 09:34 UTC.
- 7% from December 25, 2024, set by proposal #32, which passed at 05:48 UTC.
- 6% from December 25, 2025, set by proposal #35, which passed at 01:19 UTC.
- 5% is scheduled for December 25, 2026. As of November 4, 2026, no proposal for this step had been submitted. The latest proposal, #40, is a software upgrade.
So far the chain matches the published schedule at every step. Each proposal sets a per-block inflation rate, and with the 5,339,695 blocks per year in the mint parameters those rates compound to 8.0%, 7.0% and 6.0% a year.
How is new AIOZ split and burned?
Half of the new AIOZ goes to validators and delegators and half goes to the treasury, as the tokenomics docs state. The chain shows the same split, and its mint parameters list one extra allocation at a rate of 0.5. In the blocks we checked, the new tokens left the mint module as two equal transfers. One went to that allocation address and one to the fee collector that pays staking rewards. The distribution module then moves 2% of the staking half to the community pool, because its community tax parameter is 0.02.
If you stake, you delegate your native AIOZ to a validator, and you may receive a share of that validator's rewards and fees. The Stake AIOZ guide walks through the wallet steps. Staking works only with native AIOZ on AIOZ Network, so if you hold ERC-20 or BEP-20 AIOZ, you first move your tokens with the Bridge AIOZ guide. If you undelegate, the tokens take 28 days to unbond.
The docs list four burn sources:
- 50% of all AIOZ Network blockchain transactions, which the AIOZ Network Whitepaper v2 defines as the transaction fees (base fee plus tips)
- 5% of all DePIN rewards
- 5% of all infrastructure revenues
- 5% of all AIOZ native dApp revenues
The Burns page on the AIOZ block explorer lists 12 burns from April 1, 2024 to October 1, 2026, about one each quarter, and together they removed 642,360 AIOZ. The page doesn't say which of the four sources each burn came from.
How much AIOZ supply is there now?
On November 4, 2026, the chain's bank module reported a total supply of 1,288,521,252 native AIOZ. About 442.0 million of it, roughly 34%, was bonded to validators. The 2020 token plan set a supply of 1 billion AIOZ. Inflation since March 2023 has added tokens, and the burns above have removed some. The docs don't publish a circulating supply figure, so total supply is the closest number you can check on chain yourself.
The original announcement (December 2023)
Revised tokenomics for healthy ecosystem growth and an incentivized stakeholder community
With the launch of AIOZ W3S (now AIOZ Storage) imminent and a packed 2024 roadmap, we are excited to announce that we have made considerable changes to the tokenomics that underpin AIOZ token.
This update is in an effort to satisfy both the future demands of our rapidly expanding ecosystem of infrastructure products and dApps, and also to ensure that our various stakeholders are appropriately rewarded for their support and participation in the Network.
Current AIOZ Network Tokenomics
After the successful launch of the AIOZ Network Mainnet back in December 2021, a 9% inflation rate was applied to the AIOZ Network token, which came into effect from March 2023 due to block time production.
Whilst this number is not dissimilar to various other popular networks in the industry, we understand that high inflation rates can lead to economic instability within the network. By gradually reducing token inflation, we aim to create a more stable economic environment for our users, stakeholders, and the overall AIOZ community.
V2 AIOZ Network Tokenomics
The revised mechanics behind the AIOZ token highlight a proactive measure to ensure that our tokenomics remain adaptive to the evolving needs of the network and its participants, fostering a sustainable and balanced token economy.
AIOZ tokens serve various functions within the network, including staking for security, rewarding DePIN node operators, and facilitating transactions. A controlled inflation reduction optimizes the utility of the token, ensuring it remains a valuable and versatile asset within the AIOZ ecosystem.
Moreover, by reducing inflation, AIOZ aims to enhance security and ensure a resilient infrastructure that can withstand potential security challenges.

A Commitment to Minimal Inflation
From December 25th 2023 onwards, inflation of the AIOZ Network token will be decreased by 1% each year on December 25th, for a total of 4 years. This means a total of 4% reduction and a resting inflation rate of 5% by 2026.
Proposed Inflation Schedule
- 8% 25th December, 2023
- 7% 25th December, 2024
- 6% 25th December, 2025
- 5% 25th December, 2026
As of November 2026, the 8%, 7% and 6% steps have taken effect on chain, and the 5% step is still ahead (see What is AIOZ inflation now?).
With a long term base target of 5%, we aim to considerably increase the incentivization for stakeholders within the AIOZ Network. The proceeds of this inflation will be distributed as before:
- 50% of Inflation Rewarded to Validators/Delegators
- 50% of Inflation Sent to Treasury
With 4 large infrastructure pillars in active development, Treasury tokens will be used in part to incentivize growth, adoption and expansion of our products:
- AIOZ W3S (now AIOZ Storage)
- AIOZ W3AI (now AIOZ AI)
- AIOZ W3IPFS (now AIOZ Pin)
- AIOZ W3Stream (now AIOZ Stream)
Catalyzing growth of the AIOZ Network developer and partner ecosystems will mean further utilization of the AIOZ token. AIOZ tokens will function as means of payment within dApps built on the AIOZ Network, resulting in a flourishing and healthy network of dApps, developers and users plus a token with considerable utility.

Token Burn
We have worked hard in an effort to ensure a healthy future for the AIOZ Network token; implementing changes such as programmatic token burns based on network usage and regular token burns in several areas.
Token burning will occur in the following instances:
- 50% of ALL AIOZ Network Blockchain Transactions
- 5% of ALL DePIN Rewards
- 5% of ALL Infrastructure Revenues
- 5% of ALL AIOZ Native dApp Revenues
Conclusion
The AIOZ token serves an integral function within the AIOZ Network ecosystem.
AIOZ Network's success relies in part on a healthy and balanced token economy. Implementing regular token burns, in addition to reducing inflation, safeguards against potential issues associated with token oversupply. These measures contribute to sustaining a secure and sustainable ecosystem.
