AIOZ Network Report: May 2026

May continued the expansion of AIOZ Network across AI and infrastructure, introducing new challenges, models, and storage features. The ecosystem continued to grow through practical AI workflows and infrastructure improvements designed to support a broader range of real-world applications.
This report highlights the key updates from May.
AIOZ AI Ecosystem
AIOZ AI Challenges
AIOZ AI continued to expand its challenge ecosystem with new workflows spanning tabular prediction and medical imaging.
The Spaceship Titanic Prediction Challenge introduces a practical tabular machine learning task. Participants work with passenger records to build classification models, explore feature engineering, and improve predictive accuracy through structured experimentation.

The Melanoma Skin Cancer Classification Challenge focuses on computer vision and medical imaging. Using dermatoscopic image data, participants develop image-classification pipelines designed to distinguish between benign and malignant cases.

New Models on AIOZ AI
May introduced new models across interface understanding, document intelligence, retrieval workflows, and generative audio.
UI-Venus-1.5 2B is a GUI agent model designed for interface grounding and navigation. It supports understanding and interacting with graphical interfaces, helping bridge visual environments with agent-based workflows.
DeepSeek-OCR expands document intelligence capabilities through multilingual optical character recognition. Designed for extracting and understanding text from documents, it supports workflows involving multilingual content and structured document processing.
LightRAG introduces graph-enhanced retrieval for context-aware retrieval-augmented generation workflows. It supports more context-aware knowledge access and reasoning pipelines.
HeartMuLa adds a family of open-source music foundation models to the growing AIOZ AI ecosystem. These models support music-related AI workflows and broaden the range of creative generation capabilities available to builders.
AIOZ Storage Update
Automatic MIME Type Detection
AIOZ Storage now supports automatic MIME type detection, powered by Google Magika.
For S3-compatible uploads, AIOZ Storage can detect file types directly from content when the Content-Type field is missing. This improves handling for files with incomplete metadata while maintaining consistent object information during storage and delivery.
The feature supports more reliable upload behavior across different workflows.
