AI Research Paper Accepted & Published at CAI 2024

We are excited to announce that our research paper "Fine-grained Visual Classification using Self Assessment Classifier" has been accepted and published at the IEEE Conference on Artificial Intelligence IEEE CAI 2024!
This research led to a major breakthrough in fine-grained visual classification: the Self-Assessment Classifier, a novel approach that tackles the challenge of ambiguity in top-k prediction classes.
Unlike existing classification methods, which focus solely on attention or augmentation mechanisms, our novel approach leverages both image representation and top-k predictions to reassess classification results.
Drawing inspiration from self-supervised learning, we incorporate coarse-grained and fine-grained classifiers to enhance feature discrimination in the backbone network and generate attention maps highlighting informative image regions.
This auxiliary branch can be seamlessly integrated into various architectures, offering a unified solution for improving classification accuracy.
